More about the OneWeekChallenge
The OWC follows the SCRUM philosophy where it is adapter to the aviation industry. Every OWC is executed with a team of 2 experts handpicked for the domain of the challenge. The exact areas under investigation are flexible, where the method will maintain a strict cadence. Before the team starts, we ask to share some basic data in order that our experts are already mentally enriched before the pressure starts cooking.
Monday
Monday kicks off with a Goal meeting to understand, discuss and align the strategic goals of the Executive Team. Subsequently, the experts jump into the field to do an operational walkaround following you value stream.
Tuesday
Tuesday is filled with interviews and observations of the indirect processes such as HR, IT and Planning. Suppliers only add costs, where the value is determined by the customer.
Wednesday
So, Wednesday’s agenda will be about speaking to your customers and other stakeholders in a 1:1 conversation to understand the stakeholder map, and what your stakeholders believes delivers value. By midweeks, it is time to do a retrospective with the customer project lead to discuss what the first lessons learned are, and what area’s to focus on in the remainder of the week.
Thursday
Thursday will re-inspect these points, and it is time for the Smart Solutions team to hide and start processing the collected data and insights. Supported by optimization tooling and the wisdom of having seen multiple customers worldwide, a final management discussion is prepared.
Friday
On Friday, the entire executive team is invited to listen to our findings, hear the factual numbers and discuss how to best tackle the challenges at hand. The handout is a 5 pages PPT which gives you the right detail of information to get you closer to the strategic goals as set on Monday.
